The Philadelphia Gay News is the largest weekly newspaper on the East Coast targeting the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, and the most award-winning and oldest LGBT publication in the country. Started in 1975, we strive to focus on and promote businesses and populations within our community to engender mutual success. The Laborers District Council of the Metropolitan Area of Philadelphia and Vicinity assists its membership in securing employment, defends their rights and advances their interests as working men and women, and by education and co-operation, raises them to that position in society to which they are justly entitled. Working on behalf of our more than 5,000 members, we help to secure projects, promote the hiring of union workers, and meet the quality-of-life and quality-of-work needs of employees and employers in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.

Nationally known comics Katie Halper, Jeff Kreisler and Lee Camp will bring their hilarious take on politics and society to the Summit on Saturday night. Our own Sen. Daylin Leach will emcee and give us his own standup performance. Included in the price of registration.

Senator Jon Erpnebach, one of the Wisconsin 14, will tell us about their historic battle; Zandra Rice Hawkins of Granite State Progress and activists from other states will help us understand the broader struggle with lessons learned and tips to handle right wing attacks here at home.
